Notes from 1/3/06

Here are some results from our brainstorming:

• A common theme was networking, data aggregation, and what I'll call "view generation", i.e., extracting information from multiple sources and presenting it in a manner that fits the application.
• Potentially interesting web sites mentioned: SeaFlow, LibraryThing, Flickr, 43 Things, 43 Places, and Gibson Research.
• Potential topics: bookmark/favorite synchronization, network service discovery, port scanner/security auditing/intrusion detection, routing, sensor networks, information discovery via tagging, RSS/XML information aggregation/presentation, personal workspace organizer.
